Assalamualaikum..Alhamdulillah..still given opportunities to share something today..
Sharing sessions today is more about basic image editing. It sounds interesting because I like editing!!! :)
Let's look more details about basic image editing....
Adobe Photoshop is an example of software that we can used to make editing on image.
History about Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop is a raster graphics editor developed and published by Adobe Systems for Windows and OS X. Photoshop was created in 1988 by Thomas and John Knoll.
What can we do with photoshop?
-Selection
-Layers
-Image size alteration
-Noise reduction
-Removal of unwanted elements
-Selective color change
-Cropping an image
-Selecting and merging of images
-Image orientation
-Sharpening and softening images
-Slicing of images
-Change color images
-Change color depth
-Contrast change and brightening
-Color adjustments
-Stamp Clone Tool
-3D/ HD image editing
-Illustrator image editing
How to saving photoshop essential file formats?
-PSD
-JPEG:most popular, supports 24 bit colour, even the cheapest digital cameras can capture images as JPEG files
-GIF: stands for Graphics Interchange Format, format of choice for web graphics, allows web designers to create simple animations.
-PNG: supports up to 48 bit color
-TIFF:files can be very large, for commerial printing.
-EPS: another print industry standard format
-PDF
Image Selection and Editing
Image
-can be two dimensional and three dimensional
Image Size
-Encompasses the processes of altering images, whether they are digital photographs, traditional photochemical photographs, or illustrations.
-Traditional analog image editing is known as photo retouching, using tools such as an airbrush to modify photographs, or editing illustrations with any traditional art medium.
-Graphic software programs which can be broadly grouped into vector graphics editors, raster graphics editors and 3D modelers, are the primary tools with which a user may manipulate, enhance and transform images,
-Many image editing programs are also used to render or create computer art from scratch.
Image Resolution
- Image size refers to the resolution of the image
-Resolution is sometimes identified by the width and height of the image as well as the total number of pixels in the image.
-For example, an image that is 2048 pixels wide and 1536 pixels high (2048 x 1536) contains (multiply) 3 145728 pixels(or 3.1 megapixels).
-As the megapixels in the pickup device in your camera increase so does the possible maximum size image you can produce
Compress or uncompressed
-In addition to image size, the quality of the image can also be manipulated.
-An uncompressed image is saved in a file format that does't compress the pixels in the image at all.
-Formats such as BMP or TIF files do not compress the image. If we want to reduce the "file size", we can choose to store our image as a JPG file and choose the amount of compression that we want before saving the image.
Pixel resolution
-Resolution is the capability of the sensor to observe or measure the smallest object clearly with distinct boundaries.
-there is a difference between the resolution and a pixel.
-A pixel is actually a unit of the digital images.
-Resolution depends upon the size of the pixel. With a given lens setting the smaller the size of the pixel. The higher the resolutions will be and the clearer the object in the mage will be.
The End...
